Balloon Presents Michael Fey of McAfee on Info Security – Video Audio

I was contracted by NE Entertainment, in conjunction with creable Films, both out of L.A., to record and mix audio for the shoot for this video by the company Balloon.  Balloon was interviewing Mike Fey, CTO of McAfee.  I utilized a wireless lav mic setup that fed into an external recorder.  A shotgun mic was also fed directly into the RED Scarlet camera being used to shoot the footage as a backup.  The shoot was held at Intel Studios in Santa Clara, CA.  It was a fun gig with good people!

Thanks for listening.

Essence of Eternity – Feature Film Audio

The following trailer is for an upcoming feature called Essence of Eternity, by Director Richard Ryan and his production company Ox Films.  This feature is filming in multiple locations.  But for the majority of shoots Ox Films had in Sacramento, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park and Lake Tahoe, CA, I was contracted as the Sound Recordist/Mixer.  I’ll be posting more audio I captured in my my upcoming Film Audio Reel, as well as including future clips with the audio as Ox Films releases them.

For now, enjoy the following teaser, which has just a small piece of the audio I recorded at the end of the clip.  It’s the part where the lead actor says, “Where’s my wife?!”  Believe me, I should be able to post some clips with way more of my audio from this film in the near future….hopefully when it’s been properly mastered.  But at least you get to hear it in its raw form!

I recorded and mixed the audio using wireless lav units, as well as a boom mic.  I had feeds going into a 16 bit recorder, a 24 bit recorder and the RED Scarlet camera that the scene was shot with.  Always get backups!  😉

***UPDATE!!!  Below the first clip described is a new trailer Ox Films recently released that has some more of my audio for the film.  In this clip you can hear audio I recorded and mixed at the following time markers……0:28 – 0:31 (Bathroom Fight & Boat), 1:04 – 1:07  (no audio but I did record for that scene), 1:35 – 1:37 (guys running), 1:42 – 1:48 (sitting in chairs), 1:56 – 2:00 (bathroom fight).  A lot of this was done with multi mic / multi recorder setups, including wireless lavs, boundary mics, shotgun mics, a Tascam HD-P2, a Zoom H6 and more.  I’ll be posting more of my audio bits from this film as they are released with video clips like this.  But, again, I’ll also be post stuff in my personal audio reel(s) as well.

Thanks for listening!

Therapydia – Flagship Clinic Program Video Audio

Therapydia is an exciting new company helping people be at their best physically.  The following video was done by Steel-Edge, a production company based in Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA.  I was contracted by Steel-Edge to record and mix the audio for the San Francisco based shoot for this video.  So, as you watch the video, listen up!  But note that I did not shoot or edit this clip.  That’s all Steel-Edge.  Me = Audio.  I used wireless lapel and boom mic systems to capture the audio to both the camera and my external recorder.  Some of the raw audio from this shoot will be included in my upcoming audio reel as well…if you’re interested.

Thanks for listening!

Biola University – Biola Alumni Awards 2013

I was contracted by Biola University to shoot an interview of Dr. Glen Thomas, who is an alum of Biola who went on to have a fruitful career in education and served as the California Secretary of Education under Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger….Tha Governator himself!  Dr. Thomas is a great guy and it was a sincere pleasure shooting the interview and getting to know him a bit.

The footage I shot was later incorporated into a larger video for the 2013 Biola Alumni Awards.  The linked version of this video, done by the awesome William Hellmuth, is below.  William has chosen not to allow peeps to embed this video.  But I was still able to post his YouTube link, which allows me to still display the video.  So, just watch the video below to see clips of my interview of Dr. Glen Thomas.

You can also see clips of my interview with Dr. Thomas in a couple of my upcoming reels, which will be on the B’s Reels page.  This way, if there is any doubt I actually did the work, you can squash it.  🙂

Thanks for viewing!

Mercy High School – 2011 Graduation Highlight

I’ve produced the graduation video for Mercy High School of Burlingame, CA for the last four years.  It’s always a pleasure to see the smiling faces with each graduation class.  And shooting in the beautiful Saint Ignatius Church in San Francisco is awesome.  This is a highlight I created using some footage from the class of 2011’s ceremony.  I’ll be posting stuff from the last couple years soon.

For this event I shoot, capture audio using wireless systems, edit the video down to a clean play and then produce the needed DVD count.  This 2011 footage was shot in standard definition.  I of course shoot in high definition as well.

Thanks for watching!

Marjorie Birthday Celebration Video

I filmed a large portion of the interviews used to make this video, which was made to celebrate the 50th birthday of a very special lady named Marjorie.  All interviews done in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, were produced by me, including the shooting, sound, directing and lighting.  I believe 10 interviews were the final sum.

The other interviews were done on the east coast and I think maybe L.A…..not sure.  Anyway, I was contracted by Touchdown Media Productions of the New Jersey state area for this work.  Once the interviews were done I sent them the footage and they compiled it all into this video.  The video opens up with three straight interview clips I did.  You get the idea.

Thanks for watching!

Fight 4 Your Life – Running Teaser Trailer

This is a teaser trailer I did for my short film Fight 4 Your Life.  It was created to give people an idea as to what my team and I are going for as we create the full length feature film version of Fight 4 Your Life, which is currently in production.  I developed all aspects of this teaser, including the voice-over…..because I had no one else!!  🙂

For more info on this clip, as well as F4YL, read the description below the video, taken from the one studios Vimeo page.  Thanks for viewing.  Your support is much appreciated!

TAKEN FROM one studios VIMEO PAGE:

As we here at one studios buckle down to get the feature version of F4YL shot this summer, we are releasing various media to promote the film. Trailers, such as this “Running Teaser”, are meant to give viewers a glimpse at what F4YL is set to look like.

The footage used in all current F4YL trailers, including this “Running Teaser” was taken from the Fight 4 Your Life short shot in 2012, which is what the idea for the F4YL feature stemmed from. Note that this teaser is meant to give a glimpse into the color schemes and feel of the F4YL feature, not totally represent what it will look like. The feature version is being shot with certain color schemes, visual effects and more in mind, where as the short version was not.

The one studios crew hopes you enjoy this teaser and looks forward to getting more media out for you to view and interact with soon!  It’s a hectic process.  But it’s getting done.  Please feel free to leave comments.  And, PLEASE, do tell others about Fight 4 Your Life.  The funding campaign has launched.  You can donate via the official F4YL site or by contacting us directly.  We will be relaunching our Kickstarter campaign with more ferocity soon.  We can use all the help we can get!

Thanks for your support, interest and time.  Like, Follow and check out F4YL at:
